WSDG Meets with Ripple Farms to Explore Cooperation

Waterloo Sustainable Development Group (WSDG) Chief Strategic Officer, Ian Chow, and MoU partner Affecting Change Inc, CEO, Sandra Lester, visited Ripple Farms to explore further cooperation in strategic implementation of food security. Ripple Farms, an aquaponics social enterprise founded by Co-Owner Steven Bourne, focuses on enabling access and strengthening food security for low income families in the Global North and the Global South. WSDG Takes Part in Integrating Sustainability Co-Design

WSDG Chief Operating Officer, Laura Hartwell and Chief Strategic Officer, Ian Chow took part in a co-design discussing integrating sustainability in post-secondary institutions. The workshop, which was hosted by Sustainability Ontario Community Energy Co-op (SOSEC) brought together social innovation experts from post secondary institutions, researchers and sustainable energy champions. Through a systems approach, the workshop was led by Howard Tam from ThinkFresh Group to explore ideas and cultivate the momentum to carry these ideas back into post-secondary institutions.
